Treating your pet as one of the family

Update 22nd May 2022

We remain committed to keeping you safe, whilst continuing to care for your pet!

Thank you all for your patience as we have continued controlled entry to the buildings. As of Monday 23rd May, the waiting room at all three sites will be open as normal. We ask that only one person enters per appointment, and that you continue to wear a mask or visor on entry - available on entry. If you are symptomatic or have tested positive please do not enter, and telephone in or use the intercom (Broad Lane site only).

We will continue to accommodate those people that wish to wait outside or that do not wish to enter with their pet. Please use the Intercom or ‘phone in to Reception upon arrival to give them your mobile number and ask for the vet to ring you. We will then bring your pet in with one of our assistants to hold them, and speak to you on the telephone. Payment by card is currently preferred.

If you have ordered medication dispenses/prescriptions, we will ‘phone you for payment when it is ready, but you can come into reception to collect. Repeat medication is most easily ordered by clicking on the orange "order a prescription" tab above.

All 3 of our sites are open with their usual hours, and we kindly ask for your patience because we still have to juggle emergencies alongside routine cases, just as we always have. We will continue to assess and prioritise appointments and operations on a case-by-case basis, and some routine procedures may have to be booked several weeks in advance whilst we manage the backlog that built-up when our services were limited by the various Lockdowns and the effects of Test & Trace.

Please do not attend the practice if you are symptomatic, self-isolating or shielding – instead you will need to ask somebody else to bring your pet in to us, or a telephone appointment may be appropriate.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you!

Since being established by Roy Hands back in 1969, Broad Lane Vets has been trusted by generations of Coventry pet owners. With Elly Pittaway, Aidin Walls and Alison White now at the helm, the practice may have grown significantly over the years, but we are proud to remain independent with traditional values, and be very much a part of the local community. Our team of caring, experienced veterinary professionals make full use of the latest advances in veterinary medicine to look after your pet's health. And we are still passionate about treating your pet the way they should be - as one of the family.
