Like most veterinary practices, we ask for payment on the day of your pet’s visit. You will receive an itemised estimate before any hospitalisation, surgery or procedure requiring your pet to stay with us, and we’ll keep you updated and involved throughout.  You can see our standard prices here.

Because there is no NHS for pets, the cost of veterinary care falls to you as their owner. If your pet is insured, you may be able to claim back the costs of veterinary care.

If you are worried about affordability, please talk to us. We will always try to offer treatment options that are tailored to your pet’s needs, and your circumstances.

All pet owners registered at this practice have free-of-charge access to Vidivet, a 24/7 app-based service providing advice and support similar to NHS 111.  Find out more about the Vidivet service here.

Insurance

At Broad Lane Vets, we see pet insurance as a means for pet owners to budget for the unexpected, and if the worst should happen, it enables us to carry out the most effective treatment, reducing financial pressure at an emotional time, so you can focus on your pet.

As part of our initial appointment with your pet under 6 month old age, we can normally offer 4 weeks’ free pet insurance whilst you decide whether this is something you would like to continue.
